DENVER – July 20, 2018 – ACT Lab invites ORSM attendees to visit its booth, 54152-UL, to receive a free 5-minute “5 in 65” consultation on California’s new Proposition 65 warning labeling requirements, effective August 30 of this year. California’s Prop 65, which requires companies to warn consumers about products containing chemicals known to cause cancer or birth defects, became law in 1986. Regardless of whether a product’s suppliers or manufacturers are located in California, if the product is sold to California consumers through brick-and-mortar or online channels, its manufacturers are required to comply with the new labeling requirements. Fines for non-compliance are $2,500 per violation per day, as of September 1, 2018.
