TITLE: Senior Engineer

REPORTS TO: President, Vice President

SUPERVISES: Engineering Department

SUMMARY:

The Senior Engineer is responsible for overseeing all Global Engineering Operations across all ACT Labs. This individual is the primary point of contact for conceptualizing and building all ACT Lab test equipment and will work with Engineering Staff to ensure that all test equipment is appropriately calibrated. The Senior Engineer will also work with the Manager of Quality Assurance and Accreditation to ensure that all accreditation protocols have been met from an engineering perspective.

RESPONSIBILITES:

· Develop and approve all designs and oversee build-out for all testing equipment (including Helmet, Chemical, Bicycle, and Electrical)

· Provide approval for all test procedures

· Provide engineering sign-off on all client reports

· Manage accreditation protocols and compliance standards for ACT Lab

· Develop and maintain 24-month goals and projections for Engineering department

· Train Managers within engineering department and helps to supervise Engineering Staff

· Participate in all ISO and ASTM standards development organizations

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

· Master of Science in engineering preferred

· 7+ years of Engineering experience required

· PE certification Required

· Bicycle and outdoors sporting goods experience a plus

· Effective multi-tasking, problem-solving, and leadership skills

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Knowledge of SolidWorks

· Finite Element Analysis (FEA) experience a plus

· Testing Experience Required

· Data acquisition experience with NI LabVIEW a plus

· No restrictions on international travel

· Foreign language with Mandarin/Vietnamese speaking, reading, and writing skills a plus
