DENVER – July 20, 2018 – ACT Lab invites ORSM attendees to visit its booth, 54152-UL, to receive a free “5 on 65” 5-minute consultation on California Proposition 65’s new warning labeling requirements taking effect Aug. 30 of this year. California’s Prop 65, which requires companies to warn consumers about products containing chemicals known to cause cancer or birth defects, became law in 1986. Regardless of whether a product’s suppliers or manufacturers are located in California, if the product is sold to California consumers via brick-and-mortar or online channels, its manufacturers are required to comply with the new labeling requirements. Fines for noncompliance are $2,500 per violation per day, starting Sept. 1, 2018.
