UL-2849 is a safety standard developed for electric bicycles. UL-2271: Safety Standard for Lithium-Ion Batteries

UL-2271 is a safety of rechargeable lithium-ion batteries used in  electric scooters, e-bikes, and similar personal mobility devices. The standard sets requirements for the design and construction of battery packs and modules, as well as the testing and evaluation of their safety and performance. The standard helps ensure that lithium-ion batteries meet certain safety and performance standards and provides assurance to consumers that they are buying a product that has been rigorously tested and evaluated for safety.

UL-2272 is a safety standard for electrical systems of personal e-mobility devices. The standard applies to the electrical and fire-hazard safety of e-mobility devices, covering the electrical system including the charging system, battery pack, and control system. The standard helps ensure that e-mobility devices sold in the market meet certain safety and performance standards and provides assurance to consumers that they are buying a product that has been rigorously tested and evaluated for safety.
