CPSC Continues Expansion for Small Business Resources Online
The CSPC.gov web site hosts a Small Business Resources page focused on aiding small business owners in “figuring out which CPSC safety requirements apply to their products.” The CPSC states while there is no “one size fits all” checklist of safety requirements, the CPSC has developed valuable resources that can help small businesses learn more about safety requirements. Tools such as the Regulatory Robot, business education videos, guidance documents, and the Small Business Ombudsman can all help to navigate the regulatory landscape.Global Markets Increase Interest in CE Marking
The European Commission states “by affixing the CE marking to a product, a manufacturer declares that the product meets all the legal requirements for CE marking and can be sold throughout the European Economic Area (EEA).” As more products are sold on a global scale, requests for regulatory compliance to meet CE in addition to other regional requirements has increased.
